No published inbox

The contact record for this publisher is empty on purpose. There is no public email field, no mailto link, and no ticket form. If you reached this URL looking for a staff inbox, the fallback is the paragraph you are reading: these notes do not collect messages, attachments, or video files. The byline is Video Trimmer editorial team, an Organization, not a personal operator. Publisher context sits on about. How facts are sourced sits on editorial policy.

Privacy language confirms that no analytics product is attached and that ads stay off. See privacy and advertising disclosure. Do not send media to a guessed address. Cuts happen on the reader PC after a GitHub fetch.

Product issues on GitHub

LosslessCut lives at mifi/lossless-cut. Open an issue there for app crashes, cut bugs, smart cut behavior, merge failures, and feature requests. Read the FAQ and existing issues first. Smart cut is already marked experimental in the README and in issue 126. Not-an-NLE is already explained in the FAQ and issue 976. Crop, resize, and stretch hedges already point at issue 372.

Security reports go to the repo security tab. Licence text is GPL-2.0 LICENSE. Docs index: docs/index.md. Official homepage: losslesscut.app. These notes do not fight that homepage.

Guide corrections

If a filename in these notes disagrees with the current GitHub tag, trust the tag. Patterns written here are LosslessCut-win-x64.7z, LosslessCut-mac-arm64.dmg, LosslessCut-mac-x64.dmg, LosslessCut-linux-x86_64.AppImage, and the tar.bz2 archives. APPX and PKG do not work as manual downloads. There is no official winget id. These notes print no brew command. Snap id losslesscut is supporting. Confirm assets on releases and the fetch path on download safely.

A review date is stamped. Current tag numbers stay out of the sentences here. If you believe a supporting store id changed, check the README badges on master, then the listing. Microsoft Store 9P30LSR4705L and Mac App Store id1505323402 were the ids on 2026-09-02.

Do not send media files

These notes have nowhere to put a sample clip. If a cut fails, include the container, codec, and a description on the upstream tracker, following whatever the author asks for in the issue template. Do not paste account tokens. GitHub builds do not ask for an account. Store builds may use a store account; that account is the store vendor relationship, not this publisher.

Settings live under %APPDATA%\LosslessCut on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/LosslessCut on macOS, and $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/LosslessCut or ~/.config/LosslessCut on Linux. Portable Windows is an empty config.json next to LosslessCut.exe. .llc files beside the media are project files and can be turned off. OS map: this computer.

Store and donation paths

GitHub executables stay free. Store listings exist as a paid convenience path the author describes. These notes do not invent a dollar amount. Donations for the author sit at PayPal (paypal.me/mifino/usd) and at mifi.no/thanks. The README also points at FFmpeg donations. None of those links are ads on these pages. Ads stay off. Snap is an author-published Linux store path and stays supporting. Channel comparison: GitHub files versus store apps.

Response expectations

This publisher does not promise a reply, a patch, or a refund. The upstream project is GPL-2.0 and runs on GitHub time. Store refunds follow the store. Snap follows Snapcraft. GitHub file fetch is still the path these notes map first. Windows extract: Windows 7z. macOS: macOS dmg. Linux: Linux AppImage.

CLI and HTTP API questions belong in the repo docs (cli.md, api.md) and on the tracker. Those interfaces are basic, not a batch farm. Smart cut questions should start from the experimental label. Keyframe extra frames at the in-point are expected for codec copy. Read keyframe cuts and smart cut before opening a duplicate issue.

About, editorial policy, privacy, and advertising disclosure complete the trust set. Guides, releases, GitHub, and download safely complete the nav. Keep indexed URLs for crop, cutter, trim, and mp4 stay live. Home: video trimmer home. Migrate: move off re-encoders.

If you arrived from a search result that listed an email, treat that result as stale. The contact record is empty. The fallback remains: use the upstream GitHub tracker for the product, and treat these notes as a map of GitHub files, not as a helpdesk.
